My work projects the co-existence between identity and modernisation and the theory that modernisation inevitably leads towards globalisation providing opportunities for the adaptation of new life styles, acceptance of foreign elements and an opening up.

My work projects the correlation between traditional values and contemporary life, reflects the co-existence between identity and modernisation and projects the theory that modernisation will inevitably lead towards globalisation which provides opportunities for adaptation of new life styles, acceptance of foreign elements, sharing of common values and opening up global thinking etc.
The juxtaposition of Chinese food and McDonald fast food, traditional and modern ways of carrying babies, the clothed figure (as commonly found in Eastern art) and the nude (as commonly portrayed in Western painting) together with the Chinese and English texts are intended to clearly express the above notion of correlation and co-existence in the process of globalisation. The nuance of colour tones from dark to light and dull to bright suggests the transition and progression of such a process.
