The powerful monopolise and use information to the detriment of poor countries and people around the world, giving birth to global chaos. This is sold to people as progress
and the nails are hammered into the coffin of human cultural diversity.

Laos is defined by the cultural diversity of the various ethnic groups that have lived sustainably within its boundaries for centuries. Their livelihoods, culture and values are under threat as media and advertising attempt to redefine and dictate how they will live their lives. They begin the descent into chaos precipitated by displacement. This loss of cultural diversity is a loss for humanity ensuring the success of globalisation can be nothing more than a pyrrhic victory.
