Conflicts that had been earlier confined to a local setting now reach important centres such as New York.

 

This painting shows two ships on collision course in the harbour of New York City. This is a way of indicating that local, national or domestic conflicts now often turn global, Conflicts that had earlier confined to a local setting now reach important centres such as New York City, the seat of the UN Headquarters and a major city of the world's only superpower. These issues are being discussed by the international community in different ways.
