Heinrich-Boell-Foundation

Southeast Asia Regional Office in Thailand

Internship

What does the internship programme of the Chiang Mai Office offer?

The Foundation’s office in Chiang Mai is located in a compound near the university campus. Two interns can work and live there at the same time in modest accommodation that is being provided free of charge. The idea is to bring together young interns from Europe and South East Asia to enable reciprocal learning. Preference is given to those young people from Thailand and the South East Asia region, who are interested in sustainable development and gender justice. A good working knowledge of English is required. Even though HBF provides free accommodation and a small allowance of 5,000 Baht per month, travel expenses and health insurance have to be borne by the intern. The duration of the Internship should be at least 3 months, preferably longer.

The Heinrich Böll Foundation offers prctical aspects of administration and planning to the interns. The internship will help to get an insight into working in a multicultural context and particularly into culture and traditions of Thailand. Advanced students will work on specific subjects related to their experiences and interests.

Letter of application and CV in English language can be sent (by mail or E-mail) to the Foundation at the following address:
